There are two methods in validating the irradiation plan at TPS correctly, namely through dosimetry measurement. That is In Vitro Dosimetry. In Vitro Dosimetry is performed using Phantom Anthromorphic and usually uses Thermoluminescence. The IAEA recomendation that in the process of determining accuracy in radiotherapy irradiation is 3% and with a maximum tolerance of 5% of the dose received by patients on the recommendation of the International Commission on Radiation Units and Measurement. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in the results of dose measurements in the Skin Treatment Planning System using TLD (Thermoluminescence Dosimetry) with bolus and without bolus with 6MV energy in case of breast cancer using the 3D Field in Field Technique at MRCCC Siloam Hospital Semanggi.
This type of research is an experimental study with a quantitative approach. The method of data collection is done by study of scientific refference, observation, and dose measurements using phantom to retrieve dose data with TLD in the breast area.
The results of TLD measurements on the skin surface of the breast area without using a bolus with an average dose per point that is at the first point is 137,619 cGy the second point is 169,116 cGy, the third point is 170,747 cGy, and the fourth point is 150,927 cGy. The deviation values produced are 2.48%, 3.91%, 4.01%, 0.35%. The measurement results without using bolus are still below the standard deviation set by the IAEA, which is below 5%. The results of TLD measurements on the skin surface of the breast area using bolus are the average per point at the first point of 189,916 cGy, at the second point of 223,519 cGy, at the third point is 223,656 cGy, and at the 4th point of 203,854 cGy. At the 2nd and 3rd point, they show a deviation of 5.96 and 8.56% and the results exceed the tolerance recommended by the IAEA, while at the 1st and 4th point the deviation value is 1.33% and 2,53%.
