The quality of MRI brain imaging results in uncooperative patients is determined by the accuracy in the selection of MRI sequences. T1 Weighted Blade (T1 WI Blade) and T1 Weighted Flash Flash (T1 WI Flash) sequences are two of the most widely used techniques on this inspection. T1 WI Blade sequencing technique is a standard for this kind of inspection. While T1 WI Flash sequence is used by Haji Hospital Surabaya on the brain MRI examination. The aim of this research is to reveal the difference and the similarities of images information, and also to find the most optimal technique between T1 WI Blade and T1 WI Flash.
Type of this research is a quantitative study by using experimental approach. In the test used 1.5 MRI Tesla Siemens device at Haji Hospital Surabaya. Ten different samples uncooperative patients will used in this study. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling technique. The results of this study were obtained from questionnaire assessments by respondents on white matter, gray matter, CSF, Ventricle Laterals and artifacts. Data analysis was done by Wilcoxon test and descriptive mean rank test. Wilcoxon test significance value on all anatomy shows p value ˃ 0,05 then can be drawn conclusion and suggestion.
The results of the analysis quantitatively it is seen that there is no significant difference of image information between T1 WI Blade and T1 WI Flash MRI Brain axial pieces in uncooperative patient. But for emergency MRI patients, the T1 WI Flash technique is more advantageous in terms of time speed compared to T1 WI Blade
