Pengaruh Konsumsi Minuman Kunyit Asam terhadap Lama Penyembuhan Luka Perineum Ibu nifas

Background: The incidence of perineal wound is high, from total of 1951 spontan vaginal birth, 57% of women experiencing perineal injury; 28% because of episiotomy and 29% because of the tear. The impact of the rupture of perineum in mother include infection in the wound stitches. Infection after episiotomy incidence is high, amounting to 7.1%. Another impact of the perineal wound for postpartum mothers are discomfort and pain. Munuman turmeric, tamarind drinks are made from turmeric, tamarind, palm sugar and water. Efficacy of anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial in turmeric and tamarind can help accelerate long perineal wound healing and reduce the bacteria contained perineal wound.
Destination: To determine the effect of turmeric tamarind beverage consumption to the lenghof perineal wound healing.
Methods: This study was a quasi-experimental research design with Posstest Control Trial. Samples numbered 28 puerperal women with perineal wounds.
Results and discussion: The average length of wound healing for the treatment group was 6.29 days. The average length of wound healing for the control group was 8.57 days. T test rresult shows the p value is 0,000
