Introduction : Acquired imunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a syndrome or group of signs and symptoms resulted from acquired inadequate immune system. For people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), to be diagnozed AIDS is big problem. Psychologic problem of PLWHA will lead negative behaviour toward himself such as tentament suicide and if it is choosed so the chain of HIV/AIDS transmission dispear. In order to eliminate this negative behaviour, it is important to facilitate PLWHA accepting his status as PLWHA and committed to prevent the transmision of HIV/AIDS to other people. Therefore, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can be given to PLWHA to develop aceeptance and commitement behaviour.
Methods : The aim of this study was to knoe the impact of ACT toward PLWHA acceptance and commitment to himself and his society. This study used quasy experiment with non randomized pretest-posttest with control group design. Purposive sampling method was used in this study.
