Efektivitas Jenis Bulu Sikat Gigi terhadap Penurunan Debris Indeks pada Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar

The oral and tooth hygiene is determined by the attachment of debris index. Brushing teeth is one of the recommended ways to clean up the entire debris. Generally, each brand of the toothbrush is divided into three categories based on brush bristle stiffness. This research aims to investigate the differences of toothbrush bristles types in decreasing debris index in primary school-aged students.
This research was conducted by using quasi-experimental research which consists of pretest and posttest. There were forty-five random samplings which were grouped into three experimental groups. Each experimental group consists of fifteen samples that used soft, medium and hard toothbrush bristles. The data analysis was collected by using univariate and bivariate analysis, Paired T-Test to investigate the difference between independent variables and dependent variables and Anova Test to find out the mean analysis of variant.
The results of statistical tests show that toothbrush feathers have a significant difference in decreasing debris index and medium bristle toothbrushes are more effective in decreasing debris index, were p-value = 0.002 (
