PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KIE (KOMUNIKASI INFORMASI EDUKASI) PERSIAPAN PERSALINAN DAN NIFAS TERHADAP KEJADIAN POSTPARTUM BLUES

Background. Postpartum blues is like an iceberg that is difficult to detect, because people still think of psychological disorders is a natural thing as a maternal instinct and protective attitude towards her baby. The incidence of postpartum blues is quite high at 26-85%. While in Indonesia 50-70% and continues with postpartum depression varying amounts of 5-25% after the mother gives birth. Some of the interventions that can be given to reduce the incidence of postpartum blues include health education researcher is interested in analyzing the influence of IEC (Information Education Communication) childbirth and postpartum on the incidence of postpartum blues.
The purpose of this study to know is there any influence of IEC (information education communication) childbirth and postpartum on the incidence of postpartum blues.
The research method with quasi experimental or quasi-experimental with post test with control group which makes it possible to compare the results of a given intervention. The independent variables in this study IEC (Information Education Communication) preparation for labor and childbirth.
The results showed that the respondents to the age of reproduction is not healthy (17%), parity primiparous (50%), multigravida (50%), elementary education (13%), middle (38%), high school / vocational (43%), D3 / S1 (8%), employment; work (38%), not working (62%), normal treatment group (80%), occurred postpartum blues (20%), the control group; normal (45%), occurred postpartum blues (55%), bivariate analysis of these studies by Mann Whitney test showed p = 0.024
