PENGARUH TERAPI AKUPRESUR TERHADAP KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH SEWAKTU PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2 YANG MENGIKUTI PROGRAM PROLANIS (Studi di Puskesmas Ambalawi Bima NTB)

Introduction: Women at risk of higher suffering diabetes mellitus than men until the age of 55 years. Acupressure lowers blood glucose levels through a massage at the point of the meridian which can trigger the calming and uplifting response in the body, has a positive effect on emotions, causing relaxation and normalizing body functions. The magnitude of the influence of acupressure on the program prolanis is not yet known. This research aims to analyze the acupressure therapy on prolanis against the blood glucose levels of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who join the program prolanis.
Method: Research design with a quasi experiment carried out in clinics Ambalawi, Bima Regency, Indonesia. Thirty-four respondents who are members of the program prolanis who suffer from diabetes mellitus with metote purposive sampling is divided into 2 groups. Intervention group (n=17) and control group (n=17). Acupressure therapy is given 3 times over 3 weeks, namely on the 6th day, the day of the 12th and the 18th day with long time each respondent for 10 minutes. The data were analyzed using t-test (p< 0.05).
