PERBEDAAN INFORMASI ANATOMI MRI BRAIN T2WI TSE DARI GANGGUAN ARTEFAK GHOSTING ANTARA PENERAPAN PHASE ENCODING DIRECTION ANTERIOR-POSTERIOR DAN RIGHT-LEFT POTONGAN AXIAL
XMLBrain MRI T2WI TSE axial with incorrect phase encoding direction is often appear ghosting artifacts, these artifacts affect the anatomical information and diagnosis error, so efforts should be made to minimize the visualization of ghosting artifacts by choosing the correct phase encoding direction. In the axial view can be selected anterior-posterior and right-left phase encoding direction. The purpose of this research was to investigate the differences in anatomical information, ghosting artifacts, and to know the better phase encoding direction in visualizing anatomical information and minimum ghosting artifacts.
The type of this research is quantitative with an experimental approach. Data was collected at the hospital's radiology installation Telogorejo Semarang, using questionnaire to two respondents. Data analysis was performed statistically by using SPSS, paired T test to know the difference level of ghost-to-signal ratio (GSR), Wilcoxon test to know the difference level of anatomical information and ghosting artifacts, and the mean rank to know the visualization of optimal anatomical information and minimum ghosting artifacts.
From the statistical test results it is known that there is a difference of anatomical information and ghosting artifacts between the anterior-posterior and right-left phase encoding direction, p-value 0.000 (p
