MRI equipment at Radiology Installation of TK. III Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital installed since September 2016 and has never done performance test. According to ACR (2015) MRI performance testing performed weekly and annually consisting of 7 parameters. This study aims to determine the results of performance testing of the MRI equipment brand Toshiba Vantage Elan 1.5 Tesla in Radiology Installation of TK. III Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital and follow-up of the performance test.
This type of research is quantitative with survey approach. Data were taken in April 2019 at Radiology Installation of TK. III Slamet Riyadi Surakarta Hospital. Research used an ACR phantom and head coil. This research tested seven parameters including geometric accuracy, high contrast spatial resolution, low contrast detectability, slice position accuracy, slice thickness accuracy, image intensity uniformity and percent signal ghosting. The data obtained is processed and analyzed in accordance with ACR international standard.
Test result in 7 parameters are no difference in geometric accuracy about all x, y, both diagonals and z axis, high contrast spatial resolution can show resolution insert until second group, low contrast detectability is amount can show more than 9 spokes, slice position accuracy is amount 4 mm and 5 mm, slice thickness accuracy is amount 4,42 mm, image intensity uniformity is amount 88,47%, and percent signal ghosting is amount 0,85%. The results of performance test showed that the modality of MRI had still good. The results of testing 7 parameters are in accordance with ACR international standards. The resulting data can be used as baseline data for subsequent testing.
