ANALISIS TEKNIK DENOISING WEIGHTED BILATERAL FILTER DAN CURVELET TRANSFORM PADA CITRA MRI WRIST JOINT : Studi Pada Sekuen T2 TSE FS SPAIR Potongan Koronal dengan Variasi Inversion Delay
XMLBackground: Fat signals in MRI wrist joint images often cover other anatomy signals. In fat suppression techniques Spectral Attenuated Inversion Recovery (SPAIR) in the MRI wrist joint, inversion delay parameters was needed to obtain optimal image. In addition, other disturbing diagnostic information on MRI images was appearance of noise due to the image acquisition process. So that a denoising technique. This research was applied denoising Weighted bilateral filter and Curvelet transform (WBFCT) on T2 Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) Fat Suppression (FS) SPAIR of coronal slices images.
Objective: To determine differences in information on MRI wrist joint image T2 TSE FS SPAIR coronal slice sequence on optimal inversion delay between before and after the application of the denoising WBFCT technique.
Methods: The experiment study on MRI wrist joint image T2 TSE FS SPAIR sequence by varying inversion delay 70 ms, 85 ms and 100 ms. Then proceed with denoising WBFCT to images with optimal inversion delay. Image evaluation used 3 radiologist by statistical processing and images post processing.
