ABSTRACT
Background : Research on Intra Vena Pyelography examination procedure with clinical Hydronephrosis in Radiology Installation of Kardinah Tegal General Hospital in order examination procedure, the reason using PA projection at 30 minutes after insertion of contrast media and the reason adding photo taking after minute postion 120 with patients not fasted in the examination Intra Vena Pyelography with clinical Hydronephrosis.
Methods : This type of research is qualitative research with case study approach. The method of data collection by observation, interviews, and documentation. After the data is collected, data reduction will be collected and then only the data needed for writing will be displayed for analysis.
Result : The results showed that the Intra Vena Pyelography examination procedure with clinical Hydronephrosis in the Radiology Installation of Kardinah Tegal General Hospital included patient preparation, preparation of tools and materials, examination techniques, test skints, and contrast media input. The examination technique was carried out from FPA, skin tests, insertion of contrast media, 5 minute AP projection photos, 15 minute AP projection photos, 30 minute PA projection photos, AP projection post shot photos and additional minute photos to 120 AP projections . The reason for the 30 minute PA projection after the introduction of contrast media is to find out more clearly the ureter, because the anatomy of the ureter is leaning anteriorly to the body. And the reason for the addition of photo taking after post micturition at 120 minutes with patients was not fasted to find out whether there was a delay in the decline in function in the kidney so that it needed additional time so that the contrast entered could go down and visualize at 120 minutes, but whether or not it depends on kidney function. And it has not been fasted because only to see the excretion of the kidneys.
