IMPLEMENTASI TERAPI AKUPRESUR PADA ARTERIVENOUS SHUNT PASIEN HEMODIALISA DENGAN MASALAH NYERI AKUT DI UNIT HEMODIALISA RSUD K.R.M.T WONGSONEGORO SEMARANG

Background: Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease are kidney damage which causes the kidneys to be unable to remove toxins and blood waste products, which are characterized by the presence of protein in urine and a decrease in glomerular filtration rate (LFG) which lasts for more than three months. Patients with CKD undergoing hemodilysis require vascular access in the form of an Arterivenous Shunt (AV-Shunt) to drain blood to a hemodialysis device. Stabbing in AV-Shunt will cause pain so it is necessary to do non-pharmacological therapy namely massage acupressure therapy point LI-4. So to deal with pain during AV-Shunt stabbing in hemodialysis patients massage was carried out on point LI-4 in RSUD KRMT Wongsonegoro Semarang.
Objective: This case study aims to determine changes in the scale of pain before and after the LI-4 massage during stabbing in let AV-Shunt in hemodialysis patients in the Hemodialysis Unit of the KRMT Wongsonegoro Hospital Semarang.
Method: Design using case studies of data collection techniques using interview techniques and organized observation using visual analog skale (VAS) instruments. Respondents were massaged before and during the LI-4 massage for 30-50 times or 2 minutes.
Results: The average scale of pain before and after implementation decreased the scale of pain from 6 to 4.5. This means that LI-4 massage acupressure therapy can reduce pain during stabbing in let AV-Shunt, but categorically the intensity of pain still persists in moderate pain (4-6). It is recommended to include nurses in the implementation of acupressure therapy so that it can be implemented in patients who experience pain during AV-Shunt stabbing.
