HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DAN TINDAKAN PENGOBATAN SAKIT GIGI MASYARAKAT RW 1 KELURAHAN BULUSTALAN KECAMATAN SEMARANG SELATAN KOTA SEMARANG TAHUN 2019

The toothache medication practice in the community is influenced by several factors, they are income, education, culture, service facilities, etc. According to Notoatmodjo the tootache medication practices of community consists of four actions, they are no action, self-medication, medication in traditional facilities, and medication in modern facilities. The education levels are divided into three levels, they are primary education, secondary education and tertiary education. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of education level and the toothace medication practices. The type of research used is analytic survey. The population was the community of RW 1 Bulustalan Village, South Semarang, Semarang. Respondents are 70 people and were taken by purporsive sampling. Data was collected through interview techniques which were assisted by questionnaires. Data analysis was done by chi square test to determine the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The results of the study showed there is a significant relationship between education level and toothace medication practice (p=0,000). Data showed that 47% of respondents with secondary education chose self-medication, while 33% of respondents with tertiary education chose medication in modern facilities. The secondary education 57%, tertiary education 36%, and primary education 7%. Tootache medication practices chose self medication 57%, medication in modern facilities 39%, and no action 4%.
