Background - Health is a basic human capital for productive life and efficient living The elderly population (age 60 years and over) in the world grows very fast and even the fastest in the field of other age groups. The World Health Organization (WHO) reported in 2016 that 20% of the world's population has rheumatoid arthritis, of which 5-10% are 5-20 years old and 20% are 55 years old, in Indonesia the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis is 24 , 7% with a ratio of 13.4% in women and 10.3% in men (Riskesdas, 2013). In Pati Regency in 2017 there are 85, 255, while in Sukolilo Health Center 02 Pati District has 3409 rheumatoid arthritis sufferers in 2017.
Purpose - This Scientific Writing aims to describe family nursing care with a focus on pain management studies due to rhemathoid arthritis in the work area of Sukolilo Public Health Center 02 Pati district.
Method - The writing design used in the preparation of scientific papers is a case study design that is to describe the events or phenomena that exist at this time
Results - The effect of giving warm compress therapy and being accompanied by family support shows effective reducing the scale of pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis
