Smoking for some people in Indonesia has become a social, economic and health aspect. Cigarettes impact on the incidence of plaques dan can caused addiction for everyone. Cigarette / tobacco can cause bad effects for the smoker's oral cavity. Smoking can also cause stain or staining on the tooth surface. It shows that 10 members of the Assistant Hospital 04.08.06 / Marga Husada Pati had smoked more than 11 years with more cigarettes smoked 11-12 cigarettes one day and has OHI-S moderate.
The goal of this experiment is To find the description of the teeth and mouth the military men members who smoked at the Assistant Hospital 04.08.06 / Marga Husada Pati.
It uses survey with a cross-sectional design. The samples are all members of the military men who worked at the Assistant Hospital 04.08.06 / Marga Husada Pati as many as 50 people taken with saturated side techniques. Instruments for collecting data using a checklist, OHI-S examination with mouth glass, sonde, and excavator. Data analyzed.
The results show that the duration smoking of TNI members at the Assistant Hospital 04.08.06 / Marga Husada Pati is included in the old category, which is more than 11 years (60%), the number of cigarettes smoked is moderate (11-20 cigarettes) / day (80%), the type of cigarettes were smoked are clove cigarettes which in the moderate category (80%). So the most of the teeth and mouth status are included in the medium category (74%),
