Background: Hemodialysis is one of the techniques of dialysis which is a replacement therapy for terminal renal failure by passing blood into a substance consisting of two compartments. Anxiety when undergoing hemodialysis can worsen the patient's condition. Anxiety is a person's emotional feelings that relate to something that is outside of him and the self-mechanism used in overcoming problems. Anxiety management in all spheres of the health profession is an important component especially in the field of nursing. Objective: To apply the management of anxiety cases given dhikr therapy in hemodialysis patients.
Method: this study uses a multiple case study design. Sample: the study used four case respondents with CKD who were undergoing hemodialysis. The anxiety scale data before and after the intervention was taken using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) instrument. Results: based on the results of the study obtained the average anxiety scale before the intervention of the first and second periods is 5, the average anxiety scale after intervention the first period is 3 and the second period is 2. Conclusion: from these results it can be concluded that dhikr therapy interventions have an effect on reducing the anxiety scale of hemodialysis patients. Recommendation: Dhikr therapy interventions can be applied by nurses as non pharmacological anxiety management interventions to reduce anxiety in hemodialysis patients.
