ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI MRI BRACHIAL PLEXUS PADA PENERAPAN SEKUENS CORONAL T2WI STIR DAN T2*WI GRADIENT ECHO
XMLT2WI Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR) sequence is an Inversion Recovery pulse sequence uses Time Inversion (TI) that transmit fat signals into null, able to show the Brachial Plexus nerve clearly. and Gradient Echo (GRE) is a pulse sequence with flip angle less than 900, with a small flip angle is very sensitive in MRI the flow of Brachial Plexus nerve. The purpose of this study to determine the differences anatomical information of Brachial Plexus image on the application of sequences coronal T2WI STIR and T2*WI Gradient Echo.
This research type isquantitave with experimental study. This research was conducted by MRI Philips 1.5 T in RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta hospital. Data were 40 images of Brachial Plexus MRI from 10 normal volunteers in the application of coronal T2WI STIR sequence andcoronal T2*WI Gradient Echo. Assessment of the images were conducted qualitatively in the form respondent of the clearance anatomy information includes the brachial plexus Root, the superior trunk, middle trunk,lowertrunk,the brachial plexus division, the brachial plexus cord, median nerve, radial nerve and ulnar nerve. Qualitative data analysis was by Cohen's Kappa test, Visual Grading (VGA), Visual Grading Characteristic (VGC), receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC).
The result based on Visual Grading (VGA), showed there is a difference anatomical information of MRI Brachial Plexus between T2WI STIR and T2*WI Gradient Echo sequences with T2WI STIR VGA valueis (1.41) and T2*WI Gradient Echo is (1,13), Visual Grading Characteristic (VGC) obtained a very good value of T2WI STIR sequence is 73 and T2*WI Gradient Echo sequence is 31, Based on the ROC curve shows T2WI STIR sequence better than T2*WI Gradient Echo with AUC value of 0.813. The T2WI STIR sequence is better because of its ability in fat suppression.
