PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN MSCT THORAX DENGAN KLINIS TUMOR PARU DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RUMAH SAKIT PANTI RAPIH YOGYAKARTA

According to the theory (Bontrager, 2014) MSCT Thorax with clinical lung tumor using contrast media while in Radiology Insatalation Panti Rapih Hospital Yogyakarta, done without using contrast media. The aim of this research is to know the procedure examination of MSCT thorax with clinical lung tumor, to know the reason of MSCT thorax examination with clinical lung tumor and to know the parameter that must be optimized to improve image quality of MSCT thorax without contrast media with clinical lung tumor.
The type of research used is qualitative with case study approach. Subjects in this study were 3 radiographer, 1 person radiologist and 1 sending doctor. Methods of data retrieval, interviews and documentation of examination conducted. Data were analyzed by using interactive model.
The results showed that the MSCT Thorax procedure was performed without any special action of the patient just releasing objects that could cause artifacts, and the radiographer gave a brief description about procedure. Position patient examination of MSCT thorax with clinical lung tumor is patient position supine on examination table with first head position. The test was performed using a contrast media because it had seen contour a tumor in radiograf or image and size of the tumor, but could not reveal the boundary of tumor and atelectasis, where tumors where blood vessels and lymph nodes. While to use the 400 window width parameter and the window level 40 to see maximally from the tumor can be seen clearly with the back organs of the lung area, passed using mediastinum and lung techniques to facilitate in diagnostic the mass and can give good results in diagnosing abnormalities lung such as tumor
