PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN SIALOGRAFI DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RSUD Dr. MOEWARDI

Procedure of sialography examination in RSUD Dr. Moewardi is used for radiological examination of salivary glands and salivary gland ductus by using water-soluble contrast media. The purpose of this paper is to find out the examination procedure, the reason for only posterior Anterior and Axiolateral oblique projection, and the reprecentation of the open mouth of the patient on the radiograph.
The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research with case study approach, research done by observation, documentation, interview, with three radiographer, three radiologist, doctor who send the patient and one patient. Data analysis by using interactive analysis model.
The results showed that the procedure of sialography examination in Radiology Installation RSUD Dr. Moewardi includes patient preparation, preparation of tools and materials, contrast media input, examination techniques, and post examination. The projection used is the Antero posterior projection and Axiolateral oblique projection applied to plain and post contrast view, the entire projection is performed with a supine patient position in order to facilitate the entry and avoid spillage of the contrast medium. The two projections have been able to describe the abnormalities of salivary glands well. Reprecentation of the open mouth of the patient on the radiograph is no occur of superposition in the salivary gland area. Procedure of sialography examination have been done at Radiology Installation RSUD Dr. Moewardi performed in accordance with existing theories but there are differences in the examination technique that is setting the position of objects with openmouth position on the post contrast view and do not affect the results of expertise radiograph.
