ANALISA LAJU PAPARAN DI RUANG PEMERIKSAAN PANORAMIK DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RUMAH SAKIT KRISTEN NGESTI WALUYO PARAKAN

Radiation exposure rate measurement has been done in the panoramic examination room of Ngesti Waluyo Christian Hospital Parakan, because the re-measurement has not done yet since the tool installed (on April, 2016) and when exposing, the door couldn’t close properly because exposure cable wasn’t connected to operating room. Therefore we need to do observation of protection radiation programs, one of them is radiation exposure rate measurement around panoramic examination room. The research purposes are to know structural design and installation of radiation warning sign also the result of radiation exposure rate measurement around panoramic examination room. This type of research is quantitative with observational approach. Data collection has been done by observation of structural design and protection radiation programs, radiation exposure rate measurement and documentation. Data analysis was done descriptively by comparing data with NCRP Report No. 147 2004. Observation result of structural design in panoramic examination room and installation of radiation warning sign overall is compatible, but there are some incomplete items such as installation of radiation warning sign and incomplete pregnant or might be pregnant patient warning poster. Result of radiation exposure rate measurement in controlled area is on point A (0,0027 mGy/h) and E (0,00108 mGy/h) while for uncontrolled area on point B (0,00103 mGy/h), C (0,00245 mGy/h) and D (0,0119 mGy/h). That result of measurements are surpass the allowed limit of radiation exposure rate which 0,0024 mGy/h for controlled area and 0,0005 mGy/h for uncontrolled area except on point E.
