EFEKTIFITAS TINDAKAN BLADDER TRAINNING TERHADAP KEJADIAN INKONTINENSIA URINE PASCA PENGLEPASAN DOWER CHATETER PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI MAYOR DI RSUD Dr. MOEWARDI SURAKARTA

Background : Preparation of catheter release which installed for long time period for post operative patients must be started by bladder training because at the time of dower catheter installed, bladder is not loaded and contracted so bladder will lose their tone sothe detrussor muscle can’t control urine, or urinary incontinence.
Purpose: This study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of early bladder training for patients who installed dower catheter againts the incidence of urinary incontinence in Dr.Moewardi Region Hospital at Surakarta.
Methods: The type of this research is Quasi Experimental design with post-test only control group design. Conducted on 28 respondents with total sampling technique that the entire population used as the all sample of research. To find out more effective groups between groups given bladder training 1x24 ours before dower catheter release and one groups was given bladder training 2x24 ours before dower catheterrelease in post-operative major patients.
Result : The result of the research by Mann whithney test showed that the p value is 0,007 showed that there was an influence in decreasing incontinece of urin for post-operative major patients with urinary catheter and the mean rank value of both treatment groups was 18,46 for 1x24 ours group treatment and 10,54 for 2x24 ours group tratment. This showed the difference in mean rank in the 2x24 ours group treatment is smaller than the 1x24 ours group tratment. It can be said that 2x24 ours bladder training is more effective in reducingurinary incontinence for patients with dower catheter.
Conclusion : Treatment with 2x24 ours bladder training is more effective in reducing urinary incontinence events for post operative major patients in Dr. Moewardi Region Hospital at Surakarta.
