The hernia is a protrusion of abdominal contents from a normal cavity through a defect in the abdominal musculoaponeurotic fascia, either congenital or acquired, which provides a way out of any other body tool other than the normal through the wall. Hernioraphy is removing a hernial pouch with plastic surgery to strengthen the lower abdominal wall behind the inguinal canal.Patients with postoperative hernioraphy will feel pain due to an incision wound. pain in surgical wound arising due to the dissolution of tissue continuity resulting in suppression of blood vessels resulting in anaerobic metabolism. Hernioraphy is to remove the hernia bag with plastic surgery to strengthen the lower abdominal wall behind the inguinal canal. Patients with postoperative hernioraphy will feel pain due to an incision wound. In addition to pharmacological action of analgesic administration, there is also non-pharmacological action in the form of distraction technique to reduce pain.
Distraction is a way of diverting the patient's attention to other things of pain that can decrease the patient's awareness of pain, so that pain is reduced. This Scientific Writing aims to describe Nursing Care in Post Hernioraphy Patients Day I With Focus of Pain Management Study.
The methods used in this scientific paper are interviews and direct observation of patients and families.
The conclusion of this Scientific Writing on the diagnosis of acute pain relates to tissue discontinuity due to surgical action with client pain evaluation reduced after taught distraction. On the client one pain scale 6 drops to 3, on the client two pain scale 6 down to 4.
