Background:Low Back Pain is a common disorder involving muscles, nerves, and spine. Ion Inflammatory changes in the spine. Inflammatory changes in the spine may result from infection, rheumatological conditions, autoimmune disease, trauma, chronic irritation. The purpose of this research is to know the examination procedure, lumbosacral MRI optimization in low back pain case with inflammation in vertebra and the vertebrae as well as the advantage of using T1WI WFS sagital section in Radiology Installation of Tidar Hospital, Magelang Municipality.

Methods: This type of research is qualitative with case study approach. Data were collected in March – May 2018 at Radiology Installation of Tidar Hospital, Magelang Cityby observation method, interview with radiographer, radiology specialist doctor and sending doctor and documentation. Data obtained from study were analyzed by interactive rorms of open coding, presented in the form of quotations and then can be drawn conclusion.

Result:The result of this study indicate that the lumbosacral MRI examination procedure in low back pain cases with inflammation in vertebrae and the vertebrae with sekuen T1 sag FSE, T2 sag, T1 axial FSE, T2 axial, myelo 2D sag, STIR and T1WI WFS depending clinically and on request of the sending physician. Position the patient supine, head first and use body coil. Optimization of MRI lumbosakral examination is good enough, scan time is long enough but can show normal anatomical picture and detailed diagnostic image information. Sequence that can optimize the pathological picture of inflammation in the vertebrae and the vertebrae are T1WI WFS sagital sequence, which are water and fat supression sequence and are able to distinguish water and fat, so that it appears firmly different in intensity in the image. The advantages of using T1WI WFS more clarify if there is inflammation in the vertebrae area and the vertebrae.
