TINJAUAN KETEPATAN KODING DIAGNOSIS PASIEN RAWAT JALAN DI RSUD SLEMAN

The incompatibility of the officer’s diagnostic code can result the financial and inaccurate statistic of hospital morbidity reporting used in program planning and health policy. The outpatient coding at RSUD Sleman is still done by nurses in every polyclinic. This is not appropriate with Kepmenkes RI No. 377/MENKES/SK/III/2007 which mention that coding competence is performed by medical recorder. The purpose of this research is to determine the accurancy of outpatient coding according to morbidity reselection rules. This type of research is descriptive quantitative with observation metode which the population is 8873 outpatient medical records with 98 sampe obtaines by random sampling.
The result of observation completeness of writing the main diagnosis code 97,9% medical records, writing a specific diagnostic 88,7% medical records, use of standardized abbreviations 89,2% medical records, the accurancy of the main diagnosis code according to morbidity reselection rules MB 5 amount 88,7% medical records. Factors that affecting the inaccurancy of coding in RSUD Sleman include innapropriate human resource qualification assigned to code diagnosis and unavailability standard operating procedure (SOP) for encoding outpatient diagnosis.
