PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING (MRI) ELBOW JOINT DENGAN KLINIS OSTEOCHONDRAL DEFECT DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI MRCCC SILOAM HOSPITALS SEMANGGI
XMLExamination of MRI Elbow Joint with clinical Osteochondral defect in Radiology Department MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi uses prone patient position and uses knee coil. Meanwhile, according to westbrook (2014) the position of the patient using supine position or superman position and using a pair / flexible coil / surface coil. The purpose of this study was to find out the procedure, the reason for the use of knee coil and the position of prone patients on the MRI Elbow Joint examination with clinical Osteochondral Defect in Radiology Department of MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi.
The type of this research is qualitative with case study approach. The data were collected from February - March 2018 at Radiology Department MRCCC Siloam Hospitals Semanggi by using observation method, interview with radiology specialist doctor, sending doctor, FGD, and documentation. Data obtained from the study were analyzed by making the transcript then reduced in the form of categorization table and open coding, presented in quote form and then can be drawn conclusion.
The results of this study indicate that the procedure of MRI Elbow Joint examination with clinical Osteochondral defect using the position of prone, head first and using knee coil and sequences used are Coronal PDW SPAIR, Sagital PDW SPAIR, Coronal T1W TSE, Axial PDW SPAIR, Axial T2W TSE, and Sagital T2W TSE. The use of knee coil because it does not have a special coil used for the hand so using another alternative coil. Compared with body coil, using knee coil to get the results of diagnostic image that has been more and informative. Use of prone position because if using the position of supine patient does not allow for the installation of knee coil.
