On lumbar MRI examination of sagittal pieces with T1WI Turbo Spin Echo (TSE) sequence using receive bandwidth ± 170 Hz/px (Reimer, 2003). Meanwhile, at Haji Hospital Surabaya using receive bandwidth of 190 Hz / px, so do the research about receive bandwidth variation to know comparison of MRI lumbar sagittal anatomy information of T1WI Turbo Spin Echo sequence (TSE) to know the value of receive bandwidth to produce optimal anatomical information.
The type of this research is quantitative with experimental approach. The data were obtained from ten volunteers which have been examined with variation of receive bandwidth of 160 Hz/px, 175 Hz/px, 190 Hz/px, 205 Hz/px and 220 Hz/px, then were evaluated using anatomical check-list tables by two radiologists to assess Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF), intervertebral discs, vertebral corpus, spinal cord, and spinous processus, and artifacts. The data were processed and tested by Friedman's test and continued by Wilcoxon test to determine whether or not the difference in anatomical information from the received bandwidth variation was performed.
The results show that there is a difference with p value 0,004 meaning that there is difference of anatomical information from receive bandwidth variation on sagittal lumbar MRI examination with T1WI Turbo Spin Echo sequence. The most optimal bandwidth receiver on the T1WI TSE sectional MRI lumbal piece of T1WI TSE sequence is receive bandwidth of 175 Hz / px with the highest mean rank value of 3.29.
