Oral hygiene is an attempt to determine the state of a person's oral hygiene. Oral hygiene is one of the main dental health problems in Indonesia. The problem is caused by the behavior of people who have not realized the importance of maintaining dental health. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Motivation of Maintenance of Dental and Oral Health with Dental Hygiene Status at Wood Workers PT Karya Cipta Unggul Nusantara Kabupaten Demak.
The type of research used was descriptif with cross sectional design. The sample in this study amounted to 96 samples, taken by purposive sampling. Data analysis was done by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. To know the relation between independent variable with dependent variable used Spearman Rank Correlation test.
The result of statistical test showed that dental and oral hygiene motivation had significant correlation with dental hygiene status in factory workers, where intrinsic motivation (p = 0.000) and extrinsic motivation (p = 0.000). It can be concluded that there is a correlation between dental and oral health motivation with dental hygiene status on wood worker of PT Karya Cipta Unggul Nusantara Kabupaten Demak.
