. The sequence pulses on the MRI that serve to provide good T1 contrast in regions with weak signals are Inversion recovery. Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR) is a very important sequence in musculoskeletal imaging, Because the normal bone condition that contains the marrow and the fat is pressed then the lesions in the bone such as bruises on bones and tumors look more clear. In principle the selection of Time Inversion (TI) on STIR aims to suppress fatt signals. The value of Time Inversion (TI) is capable of producing different levels of suppression on each image.
This type of research is quantitative with experimental approach. Data was taken from May to June 2017. The population in this study were all MRI Genu examinations. Then measured the value of SNR, CNR, and image information assessed by respondents. Furthermore, data analysis was processed by using linear regression test and Friedman.
There is effect of Time Inversion variation on CNR (Contrast to Noise Ratio) between Time Inversion value variation with weak correlation level on IT 150 ms variation with R value 0.097. Correlation rate is occurring on CNR value results from selection of 110 ms IT variation with R value 0,563 and TI 130 ms with value of R 0,548. The effect of Time Inversion variation on the selection of 110 ms TI value resulted in moderate correlation level with R value 0.447 Then on the selection of 130 ms IT variation resulted in R value 0.416 with medium correlation level. On the 150 ms IT selection resulted in a R value of 0.135 with a very weak correlation level. The TI 110 ms variation becomes the best variation by generating the mean rank value on the CNR is 2.62 and Image information with mean rank value that is 2.48. While on TI 130 ms yield mean rank value on CNR is 1.90 and Image information with mean rank value is 2.23. Then at TI 150 ms yields the lowest mean value rank on CNR that is 1.47 and Image information with mean rank value is 1.30
