PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN COLON IN LOOP DENGAN INDIKASI TUMOR COLON DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RSUD DR. TJITROWARDOJO PURWOREJO

ABSTRACT
Colon in Loop was a radiology technique for knowing abnormalities in colon with positive and negative contrast media. Concentration of barium sulfate for colon in loop examination is 75 until 95% W/V but in Radiology Departement of RSUD Dr. Tjitrowardojo Purworejo use 32% W/V concentration contrast media of barium sulfate . The purposes of this research are to examine Colon In Loop procedure with tumour colon indication, the reason the use of 32% W/V concentratiom contras media of barium sulfate for double contrast method, and diagnostic information
Type of this research is a qualitative research with case study approach. Research had been done by following methods, there were observation, documentation, in-depth interviews with three radiographers, one radiologist, one physicians sender, and one patient. Data were obtained from research and analyzed with interactive model.
The result showed that colon in loop procedures begins with the patients’s preparation, tools and materials preparation, plain abdomen photo, entering positive contrast media, and then taking radiograph on AP, oblique projection LPO, and Left Lateral position post contrast media 300 ml, after that barium sulfate contrast media added 200 ml and infusion of negative contrast media so make it to 500 ml of barium sulfate was inserted to the colon, and then taking radiograph on AP, oblique projection LPO, and Left Lateral position full filling for post doublle contrast media, and the use of 32% of barium sulfate can show the colonic mucosa even not so good and diagnostic information to shows tumour in colon is clearly visible on radiograph.
