PEMANTAUAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP KEBIASAAN MENGGOSOK GIGI PADA ANAK MENGGUNAKAN METODE TIME TABLE DI SD ALAM AR RIDHO

ABSTRACT
Children's dental health problems caused due to children's dental health maintenance behaviors. Oral health care on school-age children are still dependent on the parents because the parents are examples and role models for each child. The basic action of oral health care is brushing the teeth. It is necessary to instil the habit of brushing the teeth in good and correct way. The habit of brushing the teeth can be trained regularly every day and on the monitor by parents through the method of time table. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of parent monitoring against the habit of brushing the teeth in children using the method of the time table. The type of this research is quasy experimental with cross sectional methods and design one group pretest and post test. Population numbered are 364 students, whereas the sample numbered 78 based on slovin formula with random sampling techniques. From the results of research conducted that monitoring results obtained by parents in brushing the children’s teeth most in a good category of 67 respondents. The results of habit brushing children teeth using the time table method showed that most of the category included in very good category consist of 56 respondents. Behavioral outcomes (knowledge, attitude, action) in brushing the teeth has increased after parents doing the monitoring using time table method mostly in the good category and increase. The results of the research conducted in the SD Alam Ar Ridho indicates that there is the influence of parents monitoring using time table method with children's habit of brushing the teeth where ρ = 0000. The Expectation that parents can increase the knowledge about oral health care of dental health in particular.
