PENGARUH PEMBERIAN KOMPRES HANGAT JAHE TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI PUNGGUNG IBU HAMIL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS KEDUNG MUNDU KOTA SEMARANG

The back pain who experienced by pregnant women besed on previous surveys and research known almost 60-80%. Pregnant women experienced back pain the greatest back pain the third trimester (Mafikasari, 2015). About 64% back pain experienced by pregnant women will get worse at night (Marilia Manfrin dos Santos, Ana Paula Gallo di Jose Bonifacio dan Sao Paulo, 2010). ). To overcome and prevent the occurrence of such incidents the government has done several ways that is by holding a class activity of pregnant women, in the activities will explain how to prevent and overcome back pain complaints (Depkes RI, 2009).
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of warm compresses of ginger for decrease intensity of back pain of pregnant women at Kedungmundu Health Center Working Area Semarang City.
This study will be done at Semarang city. This study uses quasi experimental research design using one group Pre-Post Test Design. The population of this study were all pregnant women who experienced back pain from March to July 2017 at the Work Area of Kedungmundu Semarang Public Health Center. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. All samples will be compressed by warm compress for the control group and warm ginger compresses for the intervention sampel for 15 minutes that do for three consecutive days.
The result of this stuudy showed there were a significant influence on warm ginger compress with p-value 0.000. With the p-value 0.000 < α (0,05) can be ascertained warm compress ginger is one recommendation to reduce discomfort of back pain in pregnant woman.
For the community to be able to utilize and empower what nature provides like ginger (traditional material) to treat the pain by planting ginger around house.
