PENGARUH SARI KACANG HIJAU (Phaseolus aureus) TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI AIR SUSU IBU (ASI) DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS BAWEN KABUPATEN SEMARANG

The coverage of Indonesian breastfeeding by Indonesian Health Profile in 2014 has increased by 52.3% compared to 2015, ie 55.7% (Ministry of Health, 2015). However, Indonesia is still ranked 49 out of 51 countries that support Exclusive Breastfeeding based on World Breasfeeding Trends Initiative (WBTI) 2012.. Mung Beans (Phaseolus aureus) is one type of nuts that contain polyphenols. The presence of polyphenol content can stimulate prolactin to increase milk production and stimulate oxytocin for let down processes.
This study aims to determine the effect of Mung Bean Extract (Phaseolus aureus) to increase milk production of breast milk in Bawen Community Health Center, Semarang regency.
This research uses Quasy Experiment with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampling technique using puposive sampling, so that obtained a number of 30 respondents. Green Bean Sari given as much as 300 ml twice per day for 8 days. Data analysis technique with statistical test Independent sample t-test. The results showed the production of breast milk after being given Mung Bean Extract (phaseolus aureus) had an average increase of 63.63 cc per day.
Based on indeoendent t test it can be concluded that there is influence of mung bean extract to increase milk production in Bawen Community Health Center, Semarang Regency.
From the results of this study is expected that health workers can motivate postpartum women to drink Mung Bean Extract that can increase milk production.
