Test/HIV screening is a strategy used in a population to detect HIV disease in individuals without any signs of symptoms of the disease. The gay Community is seen as vulnerable to the transmission of STDS and HIV and AIDS considering sexual behavior tend to be free and another couple. The purpose of this research was to know factors related to screening test HIV-AIDS in the Gay Community in the town of Pekalongan year 2017.
This research was conducted with the relic in Pekalongan research method is analytic. Using the observational approach of cross sectional. The population were the community of gays in Pekalongan City as many as 50 people. The data normality test used the kolmogorov smirnov test. While the statistical test employed the kai square Test (Chi Square).
The result of the research showed that the respondents` ages ranged from 26 to 35 years old with the educational background of elementary and junior high school. Most of the respondents were not unemployed. Their knowledge was good. The respondents` attitude indicated their reluctance toward the HIV testing so that most of them did not join the HIV screening test. There was correlation between their educational background, knowledge about the HIV/AIDS screening test, attitude, and intention with the HIV screening test. However there was no connection between their ages and jobs with the HIV screening test.
Advice for officers to improve the HIV screening in mobile on the group risk.
