HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG KESEHATAN GIGI PADA IBU HAMIL TERHADAP OHI-S DI PUSKESMAS NGESREP

Knowledge of dental health care is very important to protect oral hygiene especially during pregnancy because it can affect the baby’s condition and weight, because the aims of the study is to find. The relationship between dental health knowledge on pregnant mother and OHI-S the Puskesmas Ngesrep.
The research method of this study is quantitative descriptive with survey cross sectional method. Using accidental sampling technique in all trimester of pregnant mother. Who visited the puskesmas during the examination of pregnancy in may 2017.
The result suggest that pregnant mothers hav knowledge about dental hygiene with good criteria consist of 11 respondents (34%), knowledge with the average criterion consist of 20 respondents (63%), while, the bad knowledge consist of 1 respondents (3%), 7 respondents (22%) had good OHI-S criteria, 25 respondents (78%) had an average ohis criterion. And no respondents had ohis with bad criteria. The conclusion is there is a relationship between dental health knowledge and OHIS an pregnant mothers.
