Health counselling carried out by spreading the message, instilling confidence, so that people are not only conscious, know and understand, but also willing and able to do something suggested that has to do with health. Brushing your teeth is eliminating and helping to resist plaque formation, cleansing teeth from food. Debris has a considerable influence on the process of caries occurrence. Dental health medics in providing counselling need another alternative, which is with the media. This indicates that the existence of the media referred to move the senses as much as possible on an object to facilitate understanding.
It was a descriptive quantitative research, aimed to look at the phenomenon image (including health) that occurred within a particular population. The population in this study were the students of SD Negeri (State Elementary School) Wonolopo 01 Mijen Semarang Grade IV which amounted to 36 students. Sampling technique used was Total sampling. Data analysis method used descriptive quantitative. Variables used are video medium, leaflets and debris index.
The results shows that video medium tends to be more effectively used to deliver materials targeting elementary school children. Video medium needs to be developed to provide material on brushing teeth and effectively reduce debris index targeting elementary school children.
