FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PRAKTIK PEMBERIAN ASI EKSLUSIF DI WILAYAH PUSKESMAS JETAK KECAMATAN GETASAN KABUPATEN SEMARANG

One of the causes of infant mortality one of which related to nutritional factors, the cause is partly due to poor exclusive breastfeeding, malnutrition will cause disruption of psychomotor, cognitive, and social, as well as clinically there will be a growth disorder that ultimately produce human resources that are not as well as the quality will increase morbidity and mortality. Data on the health center's own Jetak Exclusive breastfeeding coverage is still low at 23% with a target of minimum service standards (SPM) 70%. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in the sub-district Puskesmas Jetak Getasan Semarang District.
Design research using correlational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers of infants age> 6-7 months in January 2017 in the village of Jetak, Title and Polobugo District of Semarang District Getasan many as 32 babies. The total sample of 32 respondents with total sampling technique sampling. Data collection tools in the form of a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using chi square test.
The results showed no relationship between attitude towards breastfeeding mothers to practice exclusive breastfeeding in the sub-district Puskesmas Jetak Getasan Semarang District (p = 0.016). There is no relationship between the midwife support exclusive breastfeeding to exclusive breastfeeding practices in the sub-district Puskesmas Jetak Getasan Semarang District (p = 0.299). There is a relationship between beliefs about exclusive breastfeeding mothers to practice exclusive breastfeeding in the sub-district Puskesmas Jetak Getasan Semarang District (p = 0.009).
Respondents are expected to provide breast milk exclusively to her baby and confident that breast milk is the best food for the baby.
